This weekend the bodybuilding community as well as the muscle worship community received the devastating news that bodybuilder Eugene Mishin, aka Evgeny Mishin passed away on Satuday August 17th, 2024 at the young age of 48.
First reported by Dave Palumbo of RX Muscle, Palumbo stated on Instagram: “Absolutely heartbreaking news to report, as IFBB Pro Eugene Mishin has passed away. We just received the tragic news just minutes ago. Mishin, a former 2 x Olympian, was originally from Russia and found success in the US not only as a top-flight pro bodybuilder but also as an actor. Fans of RXMuscle will remember him from episodes of Heavy Muscle TV – where he would share the wildest stories from his upbringing in Russia. He will be greatly missed. Our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, and fans.”
While the cause of death is unknown, it was reported that Mishin stopped breathing, unable to be revived by paramedics.
Evgeny Mishin had a history of displaying his physique and body in front of the camera and audiences having been a part of several Jimmy Z Productions videos including BBJAM #34 alongside Aden Taylor, Axel, Eugene, and Jackson Gunn. Other muscle-centric sites he modeled for included Live Muscle Show, Muscle Worship and MuscleGallery.
Besides being an inspiring athlete, he was quite recognized for being an actor appearing in various commercials with a number of credits on his IMDB page. His Instagram page credited him as Mr.Russia, Mr.Europe, Mr.Olympia competitor, SAG AFTRA Actor and a PRO Maker Personal Trainer.
